What? Google ignores the Keywords Meta? – Old News You should use

September 23, 2009

Not sure who out there is not aware of this, but yes my friends it’s been true for a long while now. I guess it’s a slow day in SEO, for Google to have to make a special point about their not including the Keywords Meta within their algo.

So, for those of you who have been under a rock for these last 6 years or so, Google ignores your keywords meta tag! There you have it news you can and should use!

**I have to confirm this for sure, but I was under the impression this is NOT the case for international search engines. From what I understood from Vanessa Fox and others in Seattle this passed June, the Keywords Meta is seen and sometimes recognized within other search engines from around the globe. I think it just isn’t that bad a practice to include a few 2-4 relevant keywords in that country specific language within your Keywords Meta. Certainly couldn’t hurt! If anyone can debunk this – please let me know!
